Shelley Dagger - Central Coast
Shelley is a highly experienced Accredited Practising Dietitian based in Newcastle who is passionate about helping people improve their health through better nutrition. She believes that good nutrition is the foundation for good health and that eating right is not only crucial for proper growth and functioning of the body, but it can offer protection against many chronic illnesses.
Before starting at Hit 100 thirteen months ago, Shelley worked in private practice for over 4 years. She also had experience working with a bariatric surgeon and for NIB Health Fund clients on a 12 month diabetes program. Through her experience, Shelley has grown a true passion for helping all kinds of people but has a particular interest in diabetes, disability and mental health. To expand her knowledge, she is currently studying for a Graduate Certificate in Diabetes.
Shelley has now seen a number of Hit 100 clients. Shelley enjoys helping and supporting Hit 100 customers to make positive long-term lifestyle changes to achieve their personal health goals. She doesn’t believe that you need to starve or deprive yourself to see good results. To Shelley, it is all about keeping it simple and getting the most out of the food you eat.
Away from work, Shelley loves all things food and is an extremely passionate cook. Q & Co Café at Warner’s Bay is a local favourite of Shelley’s where you will find her digging in to a quinoa, pumpkin and beetroot salad. She also loves going to the beach and playing with her overweight Labrador (who clearly doesn’t take her advice!).
